| Contrary to weather predictions of 5-10kt winds, the races were marked by winds up to 30kt, according to the RC. The Santana 22 fleet emerged unscathed, but a number of boats suffered mechanical problems and the Coast Guard evacuated one injured crew on an Alerion. Between the first and second races the fog rolled in, obscuring the course for awhile between starts. Congratulations to the hardy sailors who stuck it out for both races! |
