I can give you some feedback on berthing in Alameda. Berths are available, Alameda Marina has a weather berth available in the $140 range, lots of downwind berths. Transit time to the Bay Bridge under power and with favorable currents is a bit less than a hour. Starting areas from there can vary to up to another hour. Sailing in the Estuary is like lake sailing, Jack London Square is a nice short sail and spinny run home. 3 Yacht Clubs do Sunday/Friday/Wednesday beer can races . Svendsons and West Marine are on the island so finding a place to spend a few boat bucks is not a problem, Cheers Tom McIntyre Spitfire #802

:: :: Although there are many S22s on the Estuary, there are
:: :: also a fair amount in Pt. Richmond and Sausalito, which
:: :: are bot yacht cluns on the Estuaryh great places to get a slip.
:: ::
:: :: :: I'm looking at the events page of this site. Is there a
:: :: :: map of race course locations around the bay (for this

:: :: :: location for a slip near the popular regattas for a s22?
:: :: :: Seems like there are a lot of boats on the Alameda

:: :: :: I'm not quite sure to say I'm in the market for a Tuna
