:: About a year ago I bought "Go Dog Go", a 1971 hull tuna
:: out of Pier 39. We're still there, but the other day my
:: rudder, already on it's third incarnation, failed. We
:: made it back, but the post that goes into the foam/glass
:: had developed a slip which finally failed. Long story
:: short, the rudder is out and now in need of either what
:: could be a risky repair (by pulling out the post and re
:: bedding it in the foam, maybe with a couple bolts
:: through the sides this time?) or i need a new rudder.

:: so, anyone been down this road before? this particular
:: rudder, as i said, has broken, and been welded before.
:: fixing it is obviously a tricky thing to advise on
:: without seeing it, but a new rudder is an option.

:: anyone know of a tuna on blocks somewhere being scrapped
:: for parts, or have ideas about giving a new life to this
:: rudder?
