I called WDSCHOCK and they said that the new chain plates don't work with the older boats.

I have an older Santana 22 (age unknown) and I am looking at replacing mine as they have a fair amount of surface corrosion.

Any recommendations.

Also, thinking of replacing bulk head where they are attached as one is looking a bit rough. Can I use a product like King Starboard in the 3/4"?

Is it strong enough and durable enough? Just thinking it might be better than going back to wood.

Any coaching and experience in these matters would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bily
