Hey all, I went out and did my first race in my Santana 22, and I noticed I jsut could not point well. I couldn't point as high as the other Santanas, the Cal 20s, no one. My only thought is the sails. They are Air Force sails, and I know that Pineapple are the way to go. My sails are in okay condition, but not great.

I am new to the class, but no stranger at all to racing in general. My boat speed was as good if not better than everyone else's, I just could not point. Is this indeed the sails, or is there some other factor that I am overlooking? Thanks in advance, Derek
