I have not had this problem and I have replaced the mast too. I have the old mast lying around you could have the sheaves if you want?

:: Since I replaced the wire with 1/8" Amstel the jib
:: halyard has jumped the front sheave and jammed itself
:: twice, each time on a different side.

:: Anyone else experience this problem when switching to a
:: rope halyard?
