So shooting across from Angel Island back to Treasure Island today we're 2/3 of the way across and there's a loud *crack* - we broke the tiller, right at the base where it's clamped into the metal. Getting home was fun after that.

So I see West Marine has a bunch of laminated tillers, but wanted to check if anyone had some recommendations first. The boat is alas going to have to go to the yard (the stress of our tilllerless steering in the slot also was too much for the old bulkhead) but the boat isn't going anywhere until it has a new tiller :(
