Subject: Keel Bolts and Mast Beam

I just purchased a set of keel bolts from Steve Seal. The price has gone up, their close to $300 now. Steve is very helpful. Call him on the phone and he can walk you through how to do it, as well as how to test whether they really need to be replaced. Good luck. (#266)

:: Any ideas or articles I can get about replacing the keel
:: bolts on the Santana 22? I just bought one, I live in
:: Washington. I read with alarm that the boat is older
:: then the keel bolt's design life.
::
:: Also, I notice the Class allows the deck beam supporting
:: mast compression loads to be replaced with a "factory
:: supplied deck beam." I emailed Schock, but they have not
:: responded, yet. Any information on this? Does Schock
:: sell them? How do I know if I need one? How hard are
:: they to replace?
::
:: I appreciate any information or leads to articles or
:: other sources of information.
::
:: Thanks,
::
:: Bob
