I'm in the process of restoring Mardi Gras (196x?) in SF Bay Area (need to look up hull number, as I'm sure I'll have more questions...)

Just took her out sailing for the first few times in the Estuary. Sweet! Standing rigging has been replaced by previous owner with kit from Seals Spars, now time to start replacing running rigging....

Has anyone replaced the wire to rope halyards with all rope? Possible? If so, what type & diameter line did you use? Where you able to replace the stock tufnol sheaves with delrin in correct diameter?

If not possible, anyone know the specs for the wire/rope halyard? Diameter of wire, diameter of rope, overall length, and length where splice occurs.
