Subject: Hull number and back ground

Hello again,

I found that Clyde with sealspars is great help and he is looking at some pics i sent him of the chain plates.

I also found with his help, the hull number. #543. I would love to know if anyone has any back ground on this hull # and when it was made.

It would be great to know.

I am getting ready to finish gutting the interior and redoing it. The ply in it is dry rotting in some places. I have some other things to fix as well. It has the old head in it and I will put in a portapotty for the convenience of the family. I will eliminate the table and rebuild it with just the 2 full settees (and idea I got from some interior pics on Flicker), much cleaner and simpler looking. Figured i would create storage lockers under them that would be easier to access and put in a cooler as a step to make it easier to get in and out of the cabin for shorter people.

Any other suggestions from your experiences? I am on a limited budget so I can't go crazy, in fact I am doing things that are more sweat equity than $$$ right now. This one is going to be primarily a family day sailor on the Great Salt Lake here in Utah.

Right now it is registered as a 1960 Schock 22 sailboat. I know that it is a Santana 22 and believe that plaque came from another boat built by WD Schock some time in the past..

Any information you could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Billy
