While I have no experience with nationalsails.com, I would personally be a bit nervous about purchasing racing sails from them. I would personally recommend checking with hogin or pineapple, both in alameda. I'm not sure on the exact weights of the sails I do have and can't advise you there.

:: Hi All,

:: We're thinking about getting a new set of sails (main,
:: jib) for racing and we have a few questions. 1. Is there
:: a class genoa, and will we need one when we start
:: racing? 2. We've been quoted at around $1K for both the
:: main and the Jib from nationalsails.com, while they are
:: by far the best price so far, has anyone had any
:: experience with them? 3. The main we've been quoted is
:: 4oz dacron and the jib is 5oz dacron, does this sound
:: right? Do we want a 5oz main as well? 4. The main comes
:: complete with 1 reef, a leach line (w/ cleats at the
:: reef and the clue), and standard battens...do I need
:: anything else? (of course we'll add sail numbers and the
:: "S")
::
:: Any wisdom on the matter is appreciated.

:: Thanks
