She's in the water in Sausalito at Clipper II, Berth 303. Feel free to take a look. Hull No. 329, built in 1968. I'm anxious to sell her CHEAP!!!! And I mean CHEAP!!!!

THE GOOD: Solid, clean boat. Heavy duty stainless chainplates. All standing rigging is 3/16" (up from original 5/32"). Under-deck mast support has been seriously upgraded. Keel and keel bolts are fine.

Includes working (though not new) main and class jib, plus usable spinnaker, storm jib, and genoa. Other older sails (and sail bags) also included. New jib sheets.

Some "go fast" modifications have been made, including newer cabin mounted jib winches and adjustable backstay.

I have all the custom fitted cushions from the cabin in my garage, in decent shape (but hideous orange vinyl). They're yours if you want 'em.

Includes clean and working portable head. Includes newer working 12v marine "deep cycle" 12v battery. Includes Coast Guard required safety stuff, such as a horn and flares.

The boat is currently registered with the DMV, fully insured ($170/year), and berthed securely in Sausalito ($160/month).

THE BAD: The main halyard needs to be replaced. I have a new main halyard that you can have, but replacing it will require going to the top of the mast before you can sail the boat . . .

The boat hasn't been hauled and painted for at least six years. It needs it.

The teak coaming from around the cockpit is missing entirely. The good news is, I have one piece of it that can be used as a template to fashion new coaming out of either teak or plastic.

THE POSSIBILITIES: I have an 8 hp, four stroke, long shaft Honda outboard that I bought with the boat. It is in almost brand new condition (it's a 2001 model), with extremely low hours, and was recently serviced (lube, oil change, new water pump) by the dealer, and has not been run since. It is in my garage, and not on the boat. If you want it, we can negotiate its sale with the boat. If not, I'll sell it separately. Frankly, it is overpowered and too heavy for the boat. It is a serious job to take it on and off the transom if you want to race. If you don't care and just want to pleasure sail, it is fine, and it will get you where you are going FAST. It also has an alternator and can charge the boat's battery when in use . . . .

I purchased a complete electrical system for the boat, but never installed it. It includes new bow and stern lights, a cabin light, a fused marine circuit breaker board from West Marine including a 12v "cigarette lighter" plug for a cell phone or music player, all the wiring required (100' of 16/2 awg marine grade tinned copper boat cable), etc. If you want this, I will sell it to you for 1/2 of what I paid for it. If not, I'll sell it separately.

I have a handheld VHF marine radio that I will sell you for 1/2 of what I paid for it, if you want it.

I have two new modern inflatable life jackets that I will sell you for 1/2 of what I paid for them, if you want them.

etc.

If you want a Santana 22, this is a good one. It will take almost nothing to start sailing her (though a bit more if you want to get serious about racing).

I am willing to entertain almost any offer, so if you are interested, please let me know.
